Artist's Comments My Name is Mark Meyer. I am a South African Sculptor and Multimedia Artist concentrating mainly on the female nude. I work from life, modelling in clay. Later using silicone or polyurathane moulds (that I make), I cast the final pieces in Specialized Concretes or Hydrostone to which I add interesting aggregates like Marble Dust and Limestone amongst others. The surfaces of each cast piece are then worked down by hand to expose the aggregates. I also film my performamce art pieces in which female nudes perform my creative ideas live.
